The area around Bodrum is both spectacular and diverse, making it a wonderful area to discover by bike. Cycle Turkey offers guided day tours through this beautiful landscape by hybrid- or e-bike.
On all our tours you will be accompanied by our competent, multilingual tour guides. They will not only show you the way but will also share their knowledge of the country its culture. All our guides have many stories to tell and do so with their individual character, wit, and plenty of fun.
Our escort vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter) will accompany us throughout the tour and can be used to safely store any private belongings that you don’t need during the tour. There will also be plenty of water in the van should you need extra, and in case the cycling proves to be too exhausting, you are welcome to take the seat next to the driver and complete part of the route in the van.

9am – The meeting point for the start of the tour is our Bike Center in Camlik. Here you will be given the equipment required for the tour (hybrid-/e-bike, pannier, helmet for rent). Your rental bike will be perfectly adjusted to you with the help of our experienced guides. Afterwards there will be a safety briefing and a detailed explanation of the planned route.
The first leg of the tour takes us from Çamlık to Kızılağaç through wonderfully untouched nature (approx. 13.5 km / 200 elevation meters). We then continue through fragrant pine woods and silver-green olive groves to the small village of Yalıçiftlik (approx. 10 km / 150 Hm). Here there will be time to take a well-deserved swimming break at the beautiful beach of Yalı.
Afterwards we will cycle on through the beautiful valley of Yalı towards Etrim (approx. 10km), where Turkmen tribes still live a seminomadic life. Their craftsmanship is sure to astound you. Here we will take a break for a lunch of local delicacies before returning to Çamlık (approx. 7 km).
Approx. 5 pm – Return of rental equipment.
Good to know
- Please note that our tours outside of the city occasionally follow slightly bumpy roads for which you will require a certain basic level of fitness and safe cycling technique.
- Please dress appropriately for a cycling tour. You are more than welcome to bring your own click pedals and saddle. We will be happy to mount them on your rental bike.
- Helmets are mandatory on our guided group tours. If you do not have your own helmet, you will be given one with your rental bike.
- You will be given a pannier along with your rental hybrid- or e-bike for storing drinking water and any personal belongings you wish to have with you on the tour.
- We always carry plenty of drinking water, tools, spare parts and first aid equipment in our escort vehicle. You are also welcome to leave any spare bags and clothing that you don’t want to carry on the tour in the van.
- There are no time restrictions! Our aim is to have a tour during which you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings without feeling rushed. The guides will provide you with detailed information of the route.
- We suggest that you bring some money for personal expenses such as drinks.
- If you need medication along the way, please take it with you. Please do not use perfume or deodorant on the day of the trip, both attract wasps and bees.
- Make sure you remember to bring a swimsuit and a towel for swimming breaks.
- Please note that your participation in our day tours is at your own risk. No claims can be made against Cycle Turkey in case of damage or loss of your own equipment or in case of injury. Before the tour you will be asked to sign an agreement to this effect.

 | E-Bikes Clients who wish to be supported by a tail-wind and seek to hire an e-bike will receive a high-quality pedelec, powered mainly by a Bosch motor capable of covering long distances, and characterized by their light weight and great components. Alternative drive systems may also be used. Standard components of our e-bikes in varying frame sizes include, 28 inch hollow chamber rims with puncture-proof touring tires, high-quality derailleur gears and break systems, a carrier and a sturdy bike stand, touring saddle as well as mudguards and a pannier rack.
